Reserve ip in network workflow

This workflow reserves an Ip in IPAM: it will get the following available Ip in the specified network and helps to create the required IPAM object. Observe that allocating the following available Ip and developing a host record by using it is conducted with a single addHostInNetwork action in this particular workflow. You may choose which IPAM resist create within this workflow:

While using Reserve IP in network workflow, you are able to assign extensible attributes towards the produced objects.
To order an Ip inside a network:

  1. Log to the vCenter Orchestrator client.
  2. Choose Run mode.
  3. Around the Workflows tab, choose the administrator entry –> Library –> IPAM.
  4. Right-click on the Reserve IP in network workflow and select Start workflow.
  5. Complete the Connection key to establish the bond towards the NIOS IPAM appliance: click on the Link with the IPAM server field. Expand Infoblox IPAM and choose the Ip from the Infoblox NIOS Grid member. Click Select.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Within the Network step, specify the network Ip, the CIDR from the network range and, optionally, a network view.
  8. Click Next.
  9. Within the Common parameters step, specify the records to produce as described in Step 8 from the section Reserve Ip Workflow.
  10. Click Next.
  11. (Optional) Within the Extensible attributes step, specify the amount of, and also the values for, any extensible attributes that you would like to assign towards the records or objects that’ll be produced in caused by the workflow execution. To learn more about extensible attributes, see Extensible Attributes in IPAM Workflows.
  12. Click Next.
  13. Specify if restarting the DHCP services are needed. Whenever you select Yes, the DHCP service is going to be restarted when it’s needed by NIOS configuration. To learn more, see Appendix E, “Operations Requiring Service Restart”.

  14. Click Submit.
