If our legal rights already recognized within the IPRA is going to be fully incorporated within the suggested measure, we highly understand why, as this makes this method genuinely inclusive and responsive not just to the Bangsamoro people’s aspiration just for and lasting peace but additionally to all of us IPs who’ve been marginalized,” Timuay Unsad ongoing.
“In the repealing clause from the suggested BBL, we’re proposing it be amended to state ‘Provided that such laws and regulations, decrees, orders, rules and rules, along with other issuances and parts thereof, shall ‘t be sporadic using the Metabolic rate, and shall not fall underneath the minimum standards found in national laws and regulations and relevant worldwide instruments.’”

These recommendations were endorsed and posted through the NCIP to each house from the Congress.

The IP leaders also met with Senators Nancy Binay, Bam Aquino, Risa Hontiveros, and also the offices of Senator Loren Legarda, Jv Ejercito, Antonio Trillanes and Franklin Drilon. They’re scheduled to satisfy with Senator Leila de Lima.
“We have remaining our communities again to become here and talk with the people of Congress. There has been promises and commitment of support to the cause. Hopefully this time, these promises is going to be converted to actual amendments, and will also be incorporated within the bill as well as an inclusive BBL will ultimately be passed,” states Timuay Leticio Datuwata, a Lambangian leader.
