AJT Systems, an application development company that develops real-time live to air graphics rendering and video server systems for that broadcast TV industry, announced its adoption from the NewTek NDI (Network Device Interface) standard because of its award-winning LiveBook GFX Scorebug System. With NDI enabled, the LiveBook GFX is going to be recognizable like a source by other NDI-enabled devices and systems linked to a typical Ethernet lan, tremendously growing the amount of video sources readily available for live production.
“We are certain that IP workflows will transform video production,” states Michael Kornet, EVP of economic Development for NewTek. “AJT Systems is extremely respected both at NewTek and inside the industry. By AJT Systems enthusiastically embracing NewTek NDI, best-of-breed items like the LiveBook GFX can help make NDI probably the most broadly adopted IP standard available on the market and at the disposal of customers today.”
For broadcasters while using LiveBook GFX using their NewTek TriCaster workflow, the NewTek NDI will permit them to consume much more network video sources for graphics, replay, etc. This latest standard for live production IP workflow is bi-directional and backwards suitable for a lot of devices and applications from top manufacturers already utilizing NewTek’s open standard allowing IP connectivity between products. LiveBook GFX will participate the NewTek Developer Network, the industry’s largest ecosystem of IP-enabled products utilizing the same standard.
“We are actually looking forward to NDI and also the potential advantages to our clients,” states AJT Systems President, Ron Linares. “The technologies are well positioned to provide excellent performance with out of the box IT infrastructure. This is a game title changer in video production, allowing people to “plug and play” bi-directional video, audio and meta data over simple category cable and COTS Ethernet switches. With this particular first discharge of our product on NDI we’re supporting bi-directional video, enabling our product to get NDI sources to composite within our 3D renderer while outputting the end result being an NDI source to TriCaster. We’ve also enabled real-time analysis of video within our product, supporting OCR (Optical Character Recognition) converting NDI video into data streams. Case the start of innovations we’ll provide our product enabled by NewTek’s NDI.”
